Amy  is honored to serve as a returning speaker  at Earn Your Leisure’s Invest Fest in Atlanta on August 23-25, 2024. This festival is an in-person experience that combines financial literacy , entrepreneurship, pop culture, and entertainment.

Amy hopes to talk about her dual role in managing a law firm and  her new platform for creatives, which demonstrates her commitment to legal excellence and artistic advocacy. “Creative Passport is an innovative platform dedicated to providing advocacy, empowerment, and support for artists,” she says.

Creative Passport empowers creatives by offering video and digital resources, and a supportive community for emerging creatives who are ready to go to the next level. The platform focuses on helping musicians, music producers, podcasters, and content creators  navigate the complexities of intellectual property protection, build and scale their brands, and connect with like-minded creatives and entrepreneurs. This holistic approach ensures that creatives have access to the  business tools and community support necessary for their growth.

The inspiration for Creative Passport came from Amy’s personal and professional experiences. Her journey from a dancer to a lawyer for creatives revealed the challenges artists face in protecting their intellectual property and effectively building and scaling their respective brands. This unique path makes Amy stand out in places like Earn Your Leisure’s Invest Fest.

Throughout her career, Amy witnessed firsthand the hurdles that creatives encounter, from safeguarding their talents to effectively building wealth. These experiences highlighted the need for a dedicated platform that could provide advocacy, empowerment, and support for creatives. “My detour into law highlighted the need for dedicated advocacy and support within the artistic community,” she emphasizes.

Amy’s background as a Nigerian-American has profoundly influenced her career, providing her with a rich cultural perspective and a global mindset. This background has equipped her with a nuanced understanding of the diverse challenges and opportunities faced by creatives from different cultural backgrounds. Her ability to connect with and relate to a wide range of creatives has enabled her to address their needs and concerns effectively.

The duality of my cultures has heightened my sensitivity to the challenges faced by creatives from different backgrounds and equipped me with an inclusive approach to my work,” comments Amy.
